Believe it or not, this wasn't staged! While waiting in the hotel suite until it was time to go down to the ceremony site, the groom was getting one last detail for the wedding figured out, and these two happened to sit down on the couch in a beautifully symetrical fashion!
Groom’s Getting Ready
The Groom’s getting ready portion of the day is comparatively different than the bride’s.There are minimal details, copious amounts of alcohol, video games, golfing, etc. When KJ arrives the men are usually just hanging out because there really isn’t much for them to do. At the very most, with a DIY wedding, the men might be setting up chairs for the ceremony, or doing those last minute details that require manual labor. They can shower and get ready in a matter of 20 minutes. Completely not fair! Sometimes, when KJ arrives, the men are already dressed! This is completely unnecessary, as we generally arrived 1-2 hours before the ceremony, but we always appreciate the initiative!Have the men be themselves. Hang out, drink beer, do stuff!Something we find very sweet is when the bride and groom exchange gifts for each other. Once the groom is dressed we have the groom open his gift.
