When photographing couples meets traveling to awesome places and that meets your brother in law and soon to be sister in law's engagement session- it equals awesome! They had engagement session photos done in Florida, but were unhappy with the results of them. It was our distinct pleasure in creating photos they'll really enjoy! We had a family trip to Arizona the week before Thanksgiving. We were able to take photos here and there at different locations, which really made them special! No strict timelines or limited locations, but a few minutes here, and a few minutes there.
The day after the Grand Canyon, the four of us drove up to Page, Arizona. The head cold was still kicking my tail the night we drove there so our plans for the next day were a bit fuzzy. The only thing we knew we wanted to do was check out Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon. The timing of doing such things, we weren't sure on. Early the next morning, Matt messages KJ saying we need to be out right now because the light was so awesome. We took that to meaning that we need to be at Horseshoe Bend. Mind you it was the crack of dawn! Though we had the time change working in our favor.. but, head cold. They meant that the view of the mesas on the other side of the hotel looked awesome in that light. We went to Horseshoe Bend anyway since we were already up! Travel Note: if you want a great view of the bend, don't go during sunrise; midday-evening is the best time to go!
We through Matt and Carmen on a rock, in the good light a did a few more images by the bend!Nikon D750; Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 at f/3.5 and 70mm; ISO-100; 1/1600sec.; -.3 exposure comp.
